A CD of their first album has recently been released by Big Pink records of South Korea.

JOHN was fanatical about The Byrds and the album was very much in the folk-rock genre, with close harmonies a la Byrds or Everlys. On the sleeve they list lots of people and institutions that they 'dedicate' the LP to -- including Port Vale FC, Radio Stoke and Lotus Records.

They were joined on the album by well-known rock sideman of the time including Rob Townsend (Family, The Manfreds) and Charlie Whitney (Family, Streetwalkers).

JOHN RHEAD had previously been a member of a blues band in the Potteries called DOGGO.

SLASH

Perhaps he was chewing on a bacon & cheese oatcake when he first heard Alice Cooper? That's about as much influence we can claim for his musical career.
